Softball Equipment Power House Easton Sports Merges With Riddell Bell To
Dominate The Protective Sporting Equipment Market
Easton Sports the developer and manufacturer for baseball and
softball equipment as well as hockey and cycling equipment has joined
forces with the Riddell Bell Holdings the leading designer and developer
of head protection equipment to form their new entity as Easton-Bell
Sports, Inc.
This agreement is expected to generate $600 million in annual revenue
from their sport lines, which includes baseball, softball, football
hockey, cycling, auto racing, motorcycle sports and snowboarding. Lead
by Easton’s Chairman Jim Easton this merger is expected to close by the
end of first quarter 2006.

Easton Sports, based in Van Nuys, California, has an 84-year tradition
in manufacturing quality sports equipment used in many professional
sports. They are the #1 bat provider for the Little League World
Series®, College World Series®, and the #1 stick in the NHL®.
Riddell Bell
Riddell Bell is the largest designer and marketer of uniforms, helmets
and protective equipment for football, biking, skateboarding, Motorcross,
and Indy Racing. They have been the official provider of football
helmets for the NFL® for 15 years. Riddell Bell was formed when Riddell
Sports Group and Bell Sports merged back in 2004.
